3M™ 4646 VHB™ (Very High Bond) tape is a double-sided foam tape built around a 25 mil dark gray foam core with a high-strength acrylic adhesive on both sides. Engineered for permanent structural bonding, it adheres to smooth, flat substrates including metal, plastic, and glass without mechanical fasteners or liquid adhesives.
This tape is suited for fabrication and assembly lines, signage and display mounting, architectural panel attachment, and industrial finishing work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Its acrylic adhesive system resists moisture, UV exposure, and solvents, making it reliable in conditions where conventional fastening methods are impractical.
The tape carries a UL 746C listing and performs across a temperature range of -31°F to 300°F. A red polyethylene liner protects the adhesive until application. Each roll measures 1 inch wide by 5 yards long and is sold individually. Ships via parcel carrier.
