This 2" x 18 yd. PTFE glass cloth tape combines a woven fiberglass substrate with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) topcoat to produce a 10 mil tape with a durable, non-stick, heat-resistant surface. The PTFE coating prevents melted plastics, films, and adhesives from bonding to the tape face, even under sustained elevated temperatures — making it one of the more reliable liner and protection options for thermally intensive industrial equipment.
Primary applications include heat sealing bar and platen protection, hot wire contact wrapping, pressing and ironing machinery, plastics welding fixtures, and conveyor belt surface lining. It sees regular use in packaging lines, food processing equipment, garment manufacturing, and composite fabrication environments where consistent release performance under heat is critical.
The fiberglass cloth base provides dimensional stability with minimal stretch, keeping the tape positioned accurately on sealing jaws and curved surfaces through repeated thermal cycles.
